Panasonic shakes the world of photography with new FZ40 and FZ100

The Japanese giant announced its first camera for the second half and among them the long-awaited successor to the legendary FZ35, and by that legendary? Because even with relatively low cost, it won fans getting ahead of the theoretically more powerful Canon SX1, Sony and Nikon P90 HX1.
And indeed it is not just a successor, but two successors: the demure sister FZ40 and FZ100 naughty sister came to causing a stir , the first being the natural successor of one of the most successful digital cameras that already existed and the second for bringing innovations that will surprise those who expected to launch a CMOS sensor in the footsteps of direct competitors.
The two are identical in most respects but there are some crucial differences that can make one become a tremendous disappointment to another, a critical success and sales . The two put on the market for Panasonic superzoom above 20x and 14-megapixel resolution exaggerated following market trend, the powerful Leica lens that team has both 24x zoom covers a focal length of 25-600 mm and with a good opening of 2.8 -5.2; have long exposure of 60 seconds and feature quick shots of up to 1 / 2000 second; 1cm macro function, very powerful flash with reach of 9.5 meters, optical stabilizer, and here the similarities end.
Now the differences that separate the two as if heaven and hell: In FZ100 Panasonic introduces the hand of his MOS sensor which is nothing more that the sensor developed with Olympus and Leica Micro system for 4 / 3 that promises to perform much better in low light conditions; shoe for external flash, mobile 3-inch LCD, Full HD videos, and the astonishing 13 fps in continuous mode but can reach 60! Can you imagine that?
The FZ40 continues with the CCD combined with high resolution and 24x zoom can only result in many chromatic aberrations and unwanted noise, the LCD also is 3 inches but fixed and half the resolution of the display of naughty sister; not have to shoe flash, the videos are HD (1280x720) and continuously reaches 1.8 fps. An important detail to note is that the battery lasts much longer than in the FZ100 FZ40, a difference of about 30%.
Blogger's opinion: The FZ40 ended up being a big disappointment, too high resolution, zoom, too high with a small sensor that will not keep pace with these technological advances. Already the FZ100 is more a successor to the ancient FZ50 promises a very good performance even your MOS sensor with 14 megapixels, the lack of shoe for flash was something that separated the staff of FZ35, this has been fixed now, and this is continuously monstrous and the LCD is a nice mobile handy.
